Rounds On Me

Project Summary

I headed production of a tailored party experience revolving around partnered storytelling similar to Quiplash. It merges the excitement and novelty of drink experimentation with spur-of-the-moment happenings that are integral to any amazing social experience.

Goals

I wanted to learn Trello to aid in the process of feature creation and tracking, along with setting milestones to reach. I also wanted to act as a supporting force in organization of the project.

* Utilize Trello to track development progress
* Act as a force multiplier for a small team to make a larger impact
* Craft an enjoyable and versatile party experience

* Grow production and user feedback skills

Challenges
One challenge that stood out was managing the rapid-fire development of ideas that came our way. Due to the game being a shared party experience, it was difficult to nail down a feature set that was versatile enough for a wide audience, yet still delivered on the game's core pillars.

* Developing a robust social experience for a wide range of audiences
* Controlling feature creep and over-scope throughout development
* Exceeding expectations of what a party game traditionally offers
* Taking full advantage of Trello's feature set to track progress

Outcomes

These challenges were overcome through constant iteration, testing, and feedback from our community. Conducting a schedule of bi-weekly testing in the game helped to find consistently fun and actionable features to put front and center.

I was also able to learn Trello much better when using it to support others. As a result of this project, it's now a staple in my process of planning development of my games, and a strong part of my skill set as a producer.
